Year 3 visit the Natural History Museum

As part of the Year 3’s Spring topic on Earthquakes and Volcanoes, they went on a school trip to the Natural History Museum in London yesterday. After we arrived, the children went off in groups to explore the museum and were fascinated by interesting facts and amazing exhibitions. One of the children's favourite parts was visiting the Earthquake simulator. Some of the children were shocked to discover what it felt like to experience a real earthquake. Before leaving to come home, the children were lucky enough to watch an action-packed Earthquakes and Volcanoes show. During the show, some of the children were selected to help make a real earthquake, pour 'lava' and understand how scientists use seismometers by trying it out themselves! A fantastic day was had by all and the children are looking forward to learning lots more about their topic over the next few weeks! 😊

We couldn't resist paying a visit to the T-Rex!
