Weekly Newsletter-12th October 2018

Dear Parents,
We are very much looking forward to meeting with you next week to share information about your children’s first few weeks in their new year group.

The building work scheduled to begin over a year ago is actually starting on Monday. We have worked alongside the Local Authority and the Contractors to ensure the works will not impede on the school routines but I do need to inform you that Gate 3 (The Nursery gate) will be closed for the foreseeable future. Nursery parents wishing to collect morning children/drop off afternoon children will need to use gate 2 (which is the service road to the school kitchen). For safety reasons is important parents/carers DO NOT drive along the service road and I will ensure it is closed for delivery vehicles from 11:00 to 13:00. It is anticipated the works will be completed by the end of February.

Once collected at the end of the day pupils are expected to go home. There have been a number of incidents reported to me recently resulting from pupils remaining in school after they have been dismissed into the care of their parents/carers. Staff are around to supervise the end of the day procedures but CAN NOT be held responsible for incidents that take place after that.
