This half term we have been learning about sound in our Science lessons. The children have investigated different aspects of sound such as how sound travels, how the ear drum works, how pitch changes, how distance affects the volume of sound and explored the most effective material for sound-proofing.
The pupils learnt many interesting facts about sound through
the experiments that they carried out. Mia found out that sound travels in straight
lines called sound waves; Maisy discovered that sound travels through all
states of matter (solid, liquid and gas); Moksha found out that the further
away you move from the sound, the quieter it gets.
