Marvellous Mosaics

In Ancient Rome, they created beautiful, colourful pieces of art called Mosaics. A mosaic is a pattern or image made of small regular or irregular pieces of coloured stone, glass or ceramic, held in place by plaster/mortar, and covering a surface. As part of Roman Day, the year 4 pupils created their own piece of mosaic art in the shape of a Roman shield using small paper squares of paper.
