Kenya had a brilliant time at Forest School. The children were making some pumpkin mud pies and looking at the insects and worms they found when digging. We spoke about why worms live underground and how they like the dark, warm, moist microhabitat of the soil.
We loved playing in the shelter and watching an adult use a Kelly Kettle to make hot chocolate which we thoroughly enjoyed. We discussed the fire triangle and the three things that a fire needs to spread and survive. Next time, we will forage for the firewood ourselves.
Year 2 have had a brilliant start to their Forest School journey this term and seem to be really enjoying their sessions 🌿
