In Year 5, we have been learning about music during the First World War. We listened to the song ''It's a long, long way to Tipperrpary'' written by Englishman Jack Judge two years before the First War broke out. The song became extremely popular and was sung by young men marching off to war.
We enjoyed playing a rhythmical ostinato to the song using percussion instruments.
