Dear Parents and Carers,
This week the children have been discussing Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday and have created beautiful poppy displays on the school gates to remember all of those who bravely lost their lives in wars around the world. Today we paid our respects by holding a 2 minute silence to reflect and remember those who have bravely given their lives.
Anti-Bullying Week
Next week is Anti-Bullying week. On Monday 14th November we are asking all children and adults to join in with Odd Socks Day which marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week. During this week we will celebrate what makes us all unique and spread kindness! Most importantly, Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun. It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! Throughout the week children will participate in a range of activities linked to our schools ABC Anti-Bullying Code. The following week, all of the children will take part in an Anti-Bullying workshop delivered by West End in Schools.
Access to the Office Drop off and Collection
At present the only access to the school office is through the staff car park. If your child is accessing clubs in the morning please make sure that you accompany your child to the office and do not let them walk on their own. The fencing in the staff car park is being updated this week which will improve the access to the office. Once this work is complete we will be asking all parents and carers to use the side gate in the Key Stage 2 playground to access the school office at drop off and collection times. This will then become the safest route for children attending morning clubs to avoid walking through the car park. We will send out further details of how to access this gate once the works are completed.
Mead Pupil Photo Consent 2022
It is necessary for us to review and update photo consent regularly so that we can share all of the wonderful experiences, work and awards that are celebrated each week. Please complete the form below to update our records on your preferences of photographs being taken. If you have more than one child at the school there is an option for you to add all of your children to this form on question four.
