Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in Year 2

Yesterday year 2 had a recycling workshop led by Keep Britain Tidy organisation. The workshop highlighted the areas in which children can help to improve our world by thinking of the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  They thought about ways we can reduce energy, how we can reuse things rather than throw them away and how we can recycle our waste responsibly.

'We could take unwanted clothes to the charity shop' said Shree.

'I am going to tell my family what we can recycle in the orange bags' said Nathan.

To help reduce waste by reusing and repairing things the Eastlondon Waste Association will be hosting a free 'Repair Cafe' event on Saturday 5th November at the Salvation Army, High Street, Romford, 

RM1 1JJ.
