This week the Forest School children went on a hunt to find the tree that the walnut shells were coming from. When we found the tree we discovered the look and feel of the bark, looked at the shape of the leaves and compared it to other trees around.
We made giant bird nests, thinking about the shape and what natural resources to use to replicate a real birds nest.
Some of us made bird feeders and others continued working on Elder crafts. We finished up with some forest bathing to refresh our whole being.
