Mead Farm had a visit from Julia Lopez MP just before the holidays. Julia had heard about the initiative to promote pupil leadership and provide an environment that would support the nurture needs of existing pupils and those due to attend the new Additional Resourced Provision (ARP).
Our School Council and Farm Leaders gave Julia the tour, and helped her to get hands on: grooming Mr Darcy & Betsy and feeding the goats.
It is clear to see how the farm environment, and outdoor learning opportunities have already made a real difference to pupils.

Tommy, who has been one of our leading farm hands, told Julia and the other guests about the typical daily routine required to take care of all the animals. He then showed them the enclosures for the rabbits, which Julia seemed very taken with!
