Year 3 Mystery Story workshop

This week year 3 have started a new unit in Literacy and Language: they are learning about Mystery Stories, so that at the end of the unit they can write their own! As part of the topic, the children were visited by a Mystery workshop. In groups, the children decided who would play the culprit, the detective and the mysterious characters. They created freeze frames, which lead into 5 dramatic scenes! The children were challenged to identify clues which hinted at, but did not reveal, who the culprit was, to build sense of suspense!

“I really enjoyed being the suspicious detective who was looking for clues!” Hamit, Northern Ireland class.
