Human bar charts!

Who knew that bar charts could be so fun? Year 3 have been learning a new unit in Maths over the last 2 weeks: Statistics. They have learned about representing accurate and meaningful data. Part of the unit involved learning about bar charts, so the children were challenged to make human bar charts to represent various sets of data. The children chose one person to be the y axis, who had post-it notes stuck on them to show the intervals that the chart went up in. The other children helped to represent each bar in the bar chart.

"I really enjoyed having to shrink down or stand on my tip-toes to represent the data in each bar of the bar chart! It was really fun!" Jasmine Bennett, Northern Ireland class.
