The School Council's Fabulous Fundraising

Well done to the school council who spent their lunch times and after school decorating and selling cup cakes for The Goat That Gives Back campaign. Thanks to their efforts and your generous support and donations, they raised £180 and will be able to purchase six goats for the WE charity.

Why goats? Goats are practical animals, they like to live in harsh climates. A goat is able to provide up to 16 cups of milk a day. It's milk is easier to digest than cow’s milk and is an excellent source of calcium, protein, and other essential nutrients that growing children need. The extra milk can then be sold. Therefore a goat will enable parents to earn enough money to feed and educate their family.

The cakes were snapped up quickly after school and the money rolled in.
