Weekly Newsletter
3rd November 2017
Dear Parents,
I hope you have all had a good week’s break, spending time with family and friends, and that everyone is ready for what promises to be a very busy time as we approach the Christmas period.
The DfE have advised there can no longer be an automatic transfer from an Infant to Junior school and we have been advised that All parents with children on roll in year 2 in all infant or primary schools must be informed of their legal right to apply for a junior school place for September 2018.
As Mead is a Primary School this only affects parents/carers of year 2 children who wish to apply for a year 3 place at a junior school in September 2018. They must apply online via www.eadmissions.org.uk before the deadline of 15 January 2018. If you wish your child to continue at Mead then you do not need to do anything.
To assist parents to understand this process the School Admissions team have produced a booklet which is available to download via www.havering.gov.uk/admissions/juniorbooklet.

Please ensure pupils are collected on time. EYFS/KS1 finish at 3:00pm and KS2 at 3:10pm. It is unacceptable for parents to expect us to look after children at the end of the school day while waiting for older siblings to come from their secondary schools. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure children are collected by a responsible adult.
Pupils attending breakfast club must pay on the day -unfortunately due to the amount of debt that has built up we will no longer be able to give credit.
Please make sure there are sufficient funds in your child’s SQuid catering account. If there are insufficient funds we will call you to bring in a packed lunch.
Have a fabulous weekend.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs L Smith
