Nursery Newsletter 20.11.17

       Term: Autumn 2                     Date: 20.11.17

Dear Parents and Carers,

This term we are learning about celebrations. We are starting our Christmas topic. On Monday 27th November Nursery will be walking to the postbox to post their letters to Santa. Please read the letter that has been handed out to you this week with further details.

Please make sure that if you have not yet brought in P.E. shoes for your child that you do so. Shoes need to be in a bag that is named and each shoe needs your child’s name in. Changing shoes for P.E. is a valuable experience and helps your child learn independence. We have 2 bags that we are unsure who they belong to as they do not have a name. Please let the class teacher know if you think they might belong to your child.

As mentioned in Parent Evening appointments, independence is something we are working hard to acheive this term. Please make sure you give your child time to take off their own coat when they arrive at Nursery. You do not need to do it for them. When at home, please encourage your child to dress themselves and become more independent in their routines.

Please also make sure that all your child’s uniform is named. We still have lots of children without names on their jumpers/cardigans. When children take them off staff do not know who they belong to and they are more likely to be lost/misplaced. As the weather gets colder we are aware that children may need hats/gloves/scarves. Please teach children how to put these in their pockets and on their pegs as they are easily lost.

If you would like to send spare clothes in to keep at Nursery incase of accidents please hand them to one of the Nursery staff in a named bag.
Please note that Nursery are running very low on spare items such as pants, socks, knickers etc. if you have items at home you would like to donate we would appreciate it! Any old school uniform that is no longer needed also comes in very handy. Thank you.
