Weekly Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the new academic year. What a great start to the school year it has been! The children have settled into their new classes and routines and have already shown a superb attitude towards their learning.

Queen Elizabeth II

1926-2022

Rest In Peace

Yesterday’s announcement of the death of Queen Elizabeth II has saddened the nation. We have now entered a period of national mourning, which will continue until the end of the state funeral. We are awaiting further information and guidance for schools and as soon as we have any other information we will inform you.

Wellington Boots

This year's Reception children will be participating in Forest School activities and we are in need of wellington boots. If you have any children's wellington boots between sizes 6-12, that are no longer of use and you are willing to donate them, they would be gratefully received by the Reception team. There will be a box outside the Reception collection point from Monday where you will be able to donate. Thank you in advance for your support.

Snacks and Packed Lunches- Nut free school.

We are a nut free school. We have children and staff in school who suffer from nut allergies that can develop a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. If someone has a nut allergy it is not just eating nuts that can cause a severe reaction, just being touched on the skin or smelling the breath of someone who has had nuts or a product containing nuts can trigger anaphylactic shock (which can cause breathing and swallowing difficulties). Therefore, we cannot have nuts in school in any form. So please can we ask that you have no nut products in the lunch boxes or brought into the school as treats or snacks. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.

Parent Hub Meeting

There will be a Parent Hub meeting held on Wednesday 14th September at 9am. All are welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing you there.

Afterschool Club

There has been lots of interest in a school based after school club. We are looking to provide after school care through ABACUS after school club. When we shared this information last year there was not enough interest to make this a viable option and ask that all parents who would use the Afterschool provision register their interest. Please complete the link below 30th September to register interest in ABACUS after school club and ask questions about the provision https://forms.gle/eSCpHAbDhxypedyT6.
