This week we have been focusing on two of our school values, being respectful and resilient learners. It has been wonderful to see how resilient the children have been in class, especially when faced with a challenge.
Parents Evening
This year we are booking appointments through the School’s Ping account. You will receive an invite on Monday through a text message. In order to book a time all you need to do is select the time slot you wish for your child and this will automatically reserve your space. If you are having trouble with this please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Welcome Meeting
We would like to invite you to meet your child’s year group team and find out more about what your child will be learning throughout this school year. Each meeting will take place in the school hall and you will be invited to spend a short time with your child in class after the information meeting. Please see below for dates and times of the year groups meetings which begin next week.
Year 1- Thursday 6th October @9am KS1 Hall
Year 2-Tuesday 4th October @9am KS1 Hall
Year 3 -Wednesday 5th October @9am KS2 Hall
Year 4- Tuesday 4th October @9am KS2 Hall
Year 5 and 6- Thursday 29th October @9am KS2 Hall
Nursery and Reception dates will be shared after half term to offer the children time to settle into school.
Parent, Carer and Visitor Code of Conduct
As a school it is important that we are clear about acceptable behaviour on our school premises. Our school Parent, Carer and Visitor Code of Conduct can be found on our school website https://mead.havering.sch.uk/key-information/ and sets out our school expectations in order to safeguard our school community. We ask that you always speak to a member of school staff if you have any concerns regarding your own child/ren or incidents that may have taken place during the school day. We will always make every effort to meet with you as soon as possible to discuss your concerns, please do not take matters into your own hands as this can cause concerns to escalate unnecessarily.
Pupil Premium Eligibility
All parents and carers in Year 1-6 have received a letter today from the Admin Team via School Ping, regarding Pupil Premium funding. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or queries.
Afterschool Club
There has been lots of interest in a school based after school club. We are looking to provide after school care through ABACUS after school club. When we shared this information last year there was not enough interest to make this a viable option and ask that all parents who would use the Afterschool provision register their interest.
