Year 1 Science

This half term we have been learning about our five senses. Year 1 explored their different senses using a variety of items. They got to taste and smell lemons, guess the flavour of the hula hoop using their sense of smell and taste, smell marmite, feel cotton wool and magic snow. Forest School for Jamaica and Antigua Class

"We're all off to Forest School"

Reception got off to a great start at Forest School this week!

We sang, we learnt to play '1,2,3 Where Are You?' and we spotted spiky plants onsite. We lifted our legs high up over the lumps and sticks on the floor as we walked around our boundary. Then it was off to play!

Acorn collecting and counting, making animal homes, helping each other to mix mud paint and thinking about how to look after ourselves in the woods.

Well done to all the children for putting on their waterproof suits! And well done to all the grown ups on hand to help.

Madagascar roll the dice!

Last week Madagascar got to roll the dice to move on the Attendance-opoly board because they beat their target. We landed on afternoon tea treat with Mrs Pidgeon. We enjoyed our refreshments and biscuits with our favourite songs playing in the background.

We did it again this week too and we will be having hot chocolate with Ms Holmes!

Keep up the good work Madagascar!
