In year three, we've been getting some hands-on practice in measurement. Our children were given the chance to work with something a little bigger than their class ruler - meter sticks!
We had lots of fun exploring the classroom, and figuring out what could be measured using the meter sticks. Using whiteboards, children added the lengths to get a real-world idea of what perimeter is, and how to calculate it.
