Messy English for Year 4!
Year 4 got messy in English this week as we learnt about the digestive system to help us with our explanation text writing. We crunched up a cracker, banana and orange juice in a bag (to represent our stomach breaking down food) before transporting the concoction through a pair of tights (to represent the small intestine). The waste product was then separated from the 'nutrients' that would help the body to grow and have energy!
