Year 3 - Forest School - Week 6

We started off this afternoon with the ‘You’re only safe if …you’re holding a ‘y’ shaped stick/holding something yellow etc game and we found lots of interesting items around the woods. We moved on to some whittling using peelers and having a try at fire lighting again. We learnt about using the peelers away from our body and at the side towards the ground. Lots of fires were lit and this inspired lots of joy as the sparks caught the cotton wool.
