Year 6 PSHE

This term in PSHE, year 6 have been learning the topic 'Celebrating Difference.'
We have explored issues such as what is normality, what are the consequences of normality and discussed important issues such as prejudice and discrimination. Year 6 have understood how people can have different lifestyles and experience different events- which we celebrate.

Jharini in year 6 said "PSHE has helped me to be more confident in myself."

Deon in year 6 said "I know that every is equal, even if they might be in different from us."

In the upcoming weeks, as part of the Celebrating Difference unit, we will be looking at disability. Please could you ask your children to research a famous, inspiring Paralympic athlete, so that the children can share their successes with the class. Merits and certificates will be awarded for the best research.
