It has come to the attention of the Local Authority that
there is an indecent image (video) of children being circulated, predominantly
within secondary schools in both Havering and the London Borough of Barking and
Dagenham. Please be reassured that the Police are aware of this, and are
in the process of carrying out an investigation. This video is being
circulated through various social media platforms including Snapchat and
Instagram.
We would like to remind you that it is an offence to view or
circulate any indecent images of children. Should you become aware that
any of your children are in possession of this, do not view it.
Children should be advised to not show or share this image further as
this is an offence and they must delete the image. If you have any
concerns or need further advice, please contact school who will put you in contact with our local assigned Safer
Schools Officer or MASH or get advise from the police.
