Fiji Flying High

What do you do with all the boxes that are delivered to your house?
Today Fiji class had an impromptu DT session making aeroplanes! The children were supplied with boxes, tape, scissors and a few instructions and examples. They worked in pairs and individually, cutting, sticking and drawing. They used a variety of skills to complete their planes including perseverance, teamwork and sharing. Some of the amazing features on the the planes were lazers, on-board computers and propellers. Then the children had fun flying them around the classroom. The pilots included Teddy, Super Mario and Luigi.

The children were engaged in the activity and learnt so much and Mrs Jolly's garage is now much cleaner.
What will we make next time?
