Year 4 children have started the unit about instruments of the orchestra. This week they looked at the stringed instruments and listened to their timbre. The children were able to recognise instruments by ear and say a few facts about them. Then they listened to a very famous piece called ’’Pizzicato’’ and discussed the changes in tempo and dynamics. They played some rhythm patterns from the piece using percussion instruments.
