Reception's second week at forest school
At Forest School this week, Reception have been finding, naming and sorting autumn treasures. We made helicopter seeds spin through the air, spotted broad maple leaves, sorted sticks, feathers, acorns and cups. Can you remember the actions for all of them?
We looked at autumn berries and nuts- conkers, hawthorn, wild cherries, crab apples and thought about which animals eat them.
Barbados class looked carefully at a new bug - the tiny acorn weevil - and made it a cosy habitat!
St Lucia class loved climbing through the v-shaped tree.
Antigua class helped each other listen to bird sounds and made lots of cakes in the mud kitchen.
Jamaica class had a visit from our resident robin!
And we all practised safely using the hammock, with Preston commenting "That was really fun". Can you remember which part of your body goes in first?
