How much is that doggie in the window?

Year 6 have been working hard all term in art to create 3D dogs from 2D drawings.

They began by drawing a grid over a small silhouette of a dog, and then drawing a much larger grid on an A2 piece of paper. They had to scale up the smaller drawing of the dog to fit the larger grid. After that, they collaged using photocopies of engravings that had illustrated Oliver Twist. Then they glued it to corrugated card, made a stand and it was done!
It was a lot of work (including lots of maths) but it was worth it.
