Forest school for Antigua and Jamaica Class
At Forest School this week we went conker crazy! Jamaica and Antigua learnt to use a conker holder and palm drill to make holes through conkers! Great for hand eye co-ordination and strengthening those growing fingers. We threaded them to make bracelets and spiders.
We also played conker rolling, using gutters and pipes to explore angles and speed.
All the children are developing their spatial awareness and risk assessment skills practising carrying big sticks safely! Can you remember what to do?
"If a stick is longer than your arm, put one end in your hand, the other end on the floor and drag it along!"
A great time out in our wild woods.
