The children explored various features of a greenhouse and before making them, discussed appropriate structures, shape and suitable materials they would need for them to function as an actual working greenhouse. They used their understanding of 2-D and 3 -D shapes and their skills to join, cut and finish using a range of materials they had to choose from. The children then generated realistic ideas and designs collaboratively through lots of discussion.
They then used appropriate tools to assemble their greenhouses. The children worked really well with their partner and had lots of fun creating them. We are extremely proud of each child.
