Kung hei fat choi from Reception

Reception have been busy learning about Chinese New Year this week. As part of our learning we have discussed all about Chinese New Year, made lanterns and the children have produced some lovely independent writing identifying whether they were born under the year of the Snake or the Horse. We have been immersing ourselves in the Chinese culture, listening to traditional Chinese music, watching traditional dance and then ending our week by tucking into some delicious Chinese food. "I can't wait to try the chinese food" said Benjamin.  Kydeigh commented "Me and mummy like these prawn crackers"

David was heard saying "All these foods are yummy!" , with Merkhima asking "Can I have some more prawn crackers please?"

Charlotte F was keen to share what her favourite food was "My favourite was the spring rolls because I like the things inside it". Jack tried the prawn crackers for the first time and said "Very nice".

I think it's safe to say the children all enjoyed tantalising their taste buds!
