This term in Year 3 we are exploring buildings in topic. We shall be exploring three different time periods: Iron Age, Ancient Egypt and Vikings. Year 3’s have been busy using different materials to create their own buildings using pictures of buildings across the time periods as inspiration. Pupils showed resilience and resourcefulness as they experimented with the materials to create their structures.
Cameron proudly showed his building to the class ‘I used the sticks and clay to show a plume of smoke coming out the chimney.’
Lena said ‘This is so much fun!’
In the coming weeks we shall be exploring the time periods in more depth to understand how different buildings are made and were used in these time periods.
