Weekly Newsletter - Important Information

Friday 20th December 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we reach the end of a busy and successful autumn term, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and partnership. It has been wonderful to see so many of you engaging in school life, whether through parent workshops, school events, or simply by supporting your children at home.

This term, the children have embraced the challenges of their learning with enthusiasm, resilience, and creativity. Their achievements, both big and small, have been a testament to their hard work and the encouragement they receive from you, their families.

I would also like to thank our dedicated staff, who work tirelessly to ensure every child feels supported, valued, and inspired to succeed. Their commitment to the Mead Creed—being READY, RESPECTFUL, and SAFE—helps to make our school such a positive place for all.

As we approach the festive season, I hope you find time to relax and enjoy special moments with family and friends. From everyone at Mead Primary, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

We look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 6th January, ready for another term of exciting learning and opportunities.

Kindest regards,

Ms Holmes.

Information for After Half Term

Good Luck to Miss Peart

As we come to the end of term, we would like to share that Miss Peart will be starting her maternity leave after the Christmas holiday.

We wish her all the very best as she begins this exciting new chapter of her life—becoming a mum! We can’t wait to hear the wonderful news of her baby’s arrival and are sure she will embrace this next part of her journey with the same care and dedication she has shown at school.

On behalf of the whole Mead community, we send her our warmest wishes for this special time ahead.

Sports Clubs

Club lists will be sent out by Mr Robinson and Mr Stanbridge the week of the 6th January and clubs will start the week beginning the 13th January.

Trading Cards
After half term, children will be allowed to bring in trading cards to use during break and lunchtime. Please note that this is done at their own risk, and they are responsible for keeping their cards safe. While we do not encourage swapping cards, if children decide to do so, the school will not intervene in any disagreements or issues that may arise.

Labelling Uniform
We kindly remind parents and carers to ensure that all school uniform items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. This will help us return any misplaced items to their rightful owner promptly.

Dates for Next Half Term
Keep an eye on the Mead Diary for Parents 2024 for all the key dates and events for the upcoming term. This has been  shared below and will continue to be updated throughout the term, so you can plan accordingly.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the break, ready for another exciting term of learning and opportunities!
