Forest School Year 1 Fiji
So much fun at Forest School today! Climbing, balancing, swinging, creating and music making! We tried out our skills by using a peeler to make our own Christmas elf with wood! We made sure we were safe using a safety glove and by following the safety rules. We had fun working and learning together.

New Zealand Forest School
Today New Zealand had their first forest school session. We
got to explore the different areas in the forest. We helped to fix the bug
hotel, we dug holes and we climbed trees. We enjoyed choosing our forest school
name and making necklaces with our names on.

Rocks in year 3.
Year 3 have began to learn about rocks and how they are formed. We have leant that rocks can be classified into Metamorphic, Igneous and Sedimentary rocks. In the first week, we looked at different types of rocks and what they look like. This week, we had a variety of rocks and worked in groups to sort them into different groups. Some of the ways that we grouped them was into their colour and texture as well as if they have layers, grains and crystals.

The other week, Northern Ireland hit their attendance target and were able to roll the dice. We moved around the Attendance-oply board and landed on the square to swap outside play areas. On Friday, we were able to use the year 1 outside play area. We had a lot of fun climbing, sliding and running on the different pieces of equipment. Well done Northern Ireland.
