Yesterday, Year 2 had the opportunity to go back in time over 900 years to Norman times. We visited Mountfitchet Motte and Bailey castle and experienced what life was like back then. As part of our history castles topic we have been looking at the Norman invasion and castle life and we have also learnt about the Battle of Hastings in 1066. We have so many historians that have developed a love of history already and enjoy finding out about the past. The castle houses a toy museum too and it was amazing to see their toy collection dating back hundreds of years.
A member of the castle staff commented on our admirable behaviour and said we were the best behaved school.
A big well done to our Year 2 you have made us so proud.
