Taking flight in Reception

and the wait is finally over.......................

Today was the day Barbados class finally released their butterflies into the outside area. For the last couple of weeks, we have been carefully observing and watching the butterfly's life cycle. Seeing them up close growing from tiny caterpillars, to watching them spin their chrysalids before emerging from their cocoons as beautiful butterflies. We successfully grew 5 butterflies who were all keen to spread their wings and take flight. One unfortunately had a poorly wing and needed a little extra help in taking to the sky. We were all very excited with Amaliah saying 'I can see their eyes'.

It is clear to see from the children's faces their pure excitement and enjoyment in releasing their butterflies, Eduard was heard saying 'yeah i love it'.
