Year One's church vist

The year one children had a wonderful time visiting St Paul's Church this afternoon.  They were treated to an early Christingle service by Russell, Steve and James. They learnt about what the different parts of the Christingle symbolise and sang some Christmas carols.
As well as learning about a Christian festival the children also used their recently acquired mapping skills to find their way to the church.  They will also be writing about the experience in their Big Write on Friday.

"I liked singing the songs" exclaimed Sumad back at school.
