The council-created app Veggie Run has teamed up with West Ham for a new healthy living programme.

Veggie Run, which was launched by Havering Council earlier this year, are working with the West Ham United Foundation Charity to deliver the Healthy Hammers Programme to Year 4 children at Mead.

This is a six week programme which started at Mead on Tuesday. Each class in Year 4 receive a 40 minute session with a coach from West Ham. This session is split into two halves. The first part of the session the children learn about how to lead a healthy lifestyle and the second part of the session the children undertake various activities to keep them fit.

"I really enjoyed the session and can not wait until next week!" exclaimed Riley.
"I didn't know that a pumpkin was healthy until today," said Jasmine.
