Year 3 get bendy!

Today year 3 had fantastic fun at a yoga workshop. Firstly, they recognised what they are really good at. Whilst thinking about this they learnt some breathing techniques to help relieve stress and maintain focus.

 After this, they learnt how to do sun salutations. Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, is a Yoga practice incorporating a sequence of gracefully linked postures or asanas. Lots of pupils showed resilience whilst trying to maintain there postures and balance. 


This yoga workshop shall help pupils build an understanding of practices which many Hindus use in everyday life as well as helping pupils to be reflective of how they are feeling and what they are good at.
