We hope you are having a lovely weekend so far and enjoying this amazing weather .
We all had a lovely time at Paradise Park seeing the wild animals and the new interactive dinosaur area.We hope the children have told you all about it.This week they will be drawing and painting animals and writing a recount of their day out.
Apologies again for our delay in returning.We hadn`t bargained for the traffic not moving on the M11 .We thank you for your patience.
We will be continuing our learning about the World. This week we will be reading the book "Dear Zoo" by Rod Campbell. We will be continuing our learning about other countries in the world and identifying rhyming words .We will also be thinking about the pets we would like.

Thank you again for your continued support and cooperation in encouraging your child to come in to school in the morning independently, it is much appreciated and will help in their transition into Year 1.
A little reminder Wednesday is our PE day, please ensure your child has their named PE kit in school. We have a lot of lost property accumulating in school which cannot be returned to their rightful owner as they are unnamed.
This week we also have Sports day on Thursday afternoon.All children will need their P,E kit and plimsolls.

With our continued heatwave this week please ensure your child comes to school with a sun hat, sun cream and water bottle.
If your child has needed a change of clothes, could you please ensure these are sent back into school as we now have no spare clothes in school!

Our Learning Objectives for this term are:-
Personal, Social and Emotional:
ELG: They work as part of a group or class, and understand and follow the rules.

Communication and Language:

Messages:
Please remember the homework expectation in Reception is to read every day and learn the red and green words to help children read them with fluency. If you would like further homework please complete the Learning Challenge.
Learning Challenge:
Each half term we will be setting our pupils a challenge related to their learning. We believe that it is important for us to provide guidance for parents on how their children's learning can be extended at home. The learning challenge will include either a nursery rhyme, famous person, illustration or a piece of music. Please talk to your child about the challenge and help them to engage in their learning. The children can choose how they present their learning challenge outcomes to their teacher or class.
