Year 3 had an enjoyable day on Monday, as they visited the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green to support our topic on 'Childhood'.
The children were able to get hands on with many different activities and try out some old fashioned toys for themselves, whilst others groups tried on costumes and got into some role play.
Ultimately, the children were able to experience what childhood was like for children in the past and compare it with their own childhood experiences.
'My favourite part was when I rode the rocking horse. I had never seen one before and had always wanted to go on one.'
'I enjoyed using the puppets. We made up our own version of Punch and Judy'
'I saw lots of dolls in the museum that children would have had during World War II. They look very different to my dolls.'
A fantastic day was had by all and Year 3 are already looking forward to their next trip on the 6th July.
