Currently, in RE the children are learning about Sikhism and so far they have learnt some interesting facts about this religion. For example, they have learnt who the founder of Sikhism was (Guru Nank) and why he is significant for Sikhs.
It is fortunate that at Mead Primary School, we have a teacher (who is Sikh). She was more than willing to lead an assembly and answered as many questions, asked by the children linked to Sikhism. Year five had so many varied questions.The children showed enthusiasm and listened attentively.It enhanced the children's understanding and knowledge. There is no doubt, that this session will help the children to continue to deepen their understanding of Sikhism.
