Weekly Newsletter - Important Information
Friday 12th July 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
What a week we have had at Mead! Thank you all for your understanding about rescheduling sports days due to the inclement weather and then during our Ofsted visit. We have rearranged the Sports days for the year groups and the details are below. We hope that you will be able to join us!
Reports
We had planned to get the End of Year reports out to parents and carers today. Unfortunately, our focus was shifted due to our inspection visit and we aim to get them out to you by Tuesday at the latest. You are still very welcome to join us after school on Monday to visit your child’s class and view their work. We have rescheduled the Meet the Teacher afternoon for Tuesday and we have planned some further transition activities for later in the week.
Retirement
After an exceptional 25-years at Mead Primary, nurturing and inspiring generations of pupils, Mrs Rolph has decided it is time to embark on her well-deserved retirement. Mrs Rolph's dedication to our children and our school community has been truly remarkable. Her passion for teaching, her unwavering commitment to education, and her warm, nurturing approach have left an indelible mark on all of the children she has taught. Mrs Roplph's impact extends far beyond the classroom walls, as she has been a cherished mentor and friend to many colleagues over the years. While we will deeply miss her presence at Mead, we celebrate her extraordinary career and the profound difference she has made in the lives of so many. On behalf of the entire Mead Primary School community, I extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs Rolph for her unwavering commitment to our children's growth and success.
Year 6 leavers performance
Year 6 have been working hard on their end of school performance. There will be two performances; one on Monday 15th at 2pm and one on Tuesday 16th at 9:30am. To ensure that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the performance, we kindly ask you to choose which performance you would prefer to attend. Due to limited space, we regret to inform you that each family can only receive two tickets and attend one of the performances.
