Last week in music, year 5 explored Country music. The children found out that Country is a music genre that originated in rural parts of the South and SouthWestern United States in the early 20th century. We looked at the instruments accompanying the music, listened to a ‘’country music legend ‘’- Dolly Parton and sang one of her best known songs called ’’9 to 5’’.
