Christmas came a little early for Reception on Wednesday as the children visited the farm for hot chocolate, biscuits and some festive music!
The children used their good manners when ordering their hot chocolates and biscuits, which proved very popular! Ria exclaimed "this is soo yummy!" while Ralph said "cream and marshmallows are my favourite" and Lucille said "these biscuits are yummy!"
The children were thrilled to see our wonderful farm animals again and they remembered how to use the farm appropriately, including using quiet voices so as not to scare the animals and washing their hands before returning to the classroom. Grace said "I liked all the animals!", animal-whisperer Arsalaan said "I'm talking to the sheep" and Samhita even noticed "that sheep wants my hot chocolate!"
As we were leaving, Layla happily declared "This is the best day ever!"
A big thank you to all parents who kindly gave in money for the children to have this lovely experience, we are so lucky to have the farm as a resource at school and your contributions go towards its maintenance and upkeep.
Winners of the raffle will be announced shortly.
Wishing you a Merry (early) Christmas,
From the Reception team!
