We hope you are having a lovely but I am sure very busy weekend.

We hope you enjoyed the Christmas concert last week .We were so proud of all the children. We thought they did so well.

This week we are concentrating on making sure that the children have a very special Nursery Christmas.

On Monday the children will have a fun day with Christmas crafts in the Nursery.

On Tuesday we have a preparation for Santa day.We would like the children to wear pyjamas and dressing gowns to Nursery. We would invite morning parents to come back to Nursery at 10.30 and read a Christmas story to the children. We will then have a whole group story and hot chocolate and biscuits in front of the virtual fire. We would ask afternoon children and 30 hour parents to come back at 2.30. for a similair experience.

Wednesday is another fun Christmas in the Nursery day but we will be visited by our new children that will be joining Nursery in January.

Thursday is party day.We have ordered food for the children so children come in as usual and just enjoy party time in the Nursery

Our star writers this week have demonstrated good developing phonic knowledge to segment and write some challenging words as well as showing great progress with letter formation and name writing.

Very well done to:

Malta Class Get Messy

Today some of the children in Malta Class got messy! Messy play is extremely important for a child's development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity. It is also great fun. Today they got messy with shaving foam and bubbly water. Joseph thought the best game to play was ready, steady, SPLAT. Gabby enjoyed squishing it through his fingers.

This week in Y6...

This week year 6 has been has been jam packed with exciting things including...

The return of the mischievous elves, our political view on the election, the lovely Christmas productions and

First of all, the mischievous elves gave us a unpleasant visit leading to trouble and mayhem coming up to Christmas!

On Wednesday, the whole of year 6 learnt so much about politics and got to have our own say in the Mead school year 6 election, which lead to the liberal democrats winning! It was a really fun experience learning about each party and deciding which party we would have interest in to vote for.

This Friday years 5 and 6 got a joint Christmas production, lots of parents came to see their child perform. We had a lovely cast and a brilliant choir which led to a lovely Christmas production, we are going to be performing again next Monday-and look forward to seeing you there!

Head boy and Head girl
