Yesterday, Year 3 went on a trip to the National History Museum. It was great. The children were fantastic and had a wonderful time exploring the museum and playing with their friends.
We used public transport to get to the museum. We travelled by train and the tube. When we arrived at the museum we enjoyed a volcanoes and earthquakes workshop where the facilitator talked about what they were, how they were formed and the potential damage they could cause. Children were given the opportunity to volunteer when needed. It was engaging and interactive.
Children were then given the opportunity to explore the museum. They were taken to the earthquakes and volcanoes area where they could experience a real earthquake - in a simulator! They then explored the dinosaur, mammals, creepy crawly and many more areas.
We heard children say;
'That was the best day ever!'
'I'm going to ask if I can come back here'
The children were well behaved and represented our school brilliantly. We are so proud of them all!
