After the iconic London Stadium hosted the stunning Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, this event was our school's chance to be part of the next moment in history.
The World Para Athletics Championships were one of the must-see event of 2017. With the likes of Jonnie Peacock, Kadeena Cox and Hannah Cockcroft all taking to the track again in front of a home crowd, this was the perfect way to end the school year – watching the world's best athletes in our world-class venue.
We would like to thank the Mayor of London's team who made it all possible. The London schools ticket offer, launched in January and relaunched in February in association with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, gave 250,000 schoolchildren across Greater London the opportunity to attend the Championships.

We were able to secure over 250 tickets for this event and ensure that as many pupils as possible got the chance to attend this iconic event!
Watching the athletes was inspirational. One lady was blind and had to run the 100m. I tried closing my eyes and it was impossible to run. She sprinted to the end and did it really confidently

I just loved being in the stadium... it was huge! There were over 30,000 people there. Everywhere was packed, but it was all so friendly. When the crowd cheered it was a roar.
