CENSUS DAY

The school kitchen have put on a special menu for Thursday 16th May as this is School Census Day

It is helpful if all pupils in EYFS/KS1 opt for a school dinner on this day as our funding for next year is determined by the uptake of school dinners. If you are concerned your child may not eat the school lunch we are happy for you to send in a packed lunch and we will ensure they have something to eat.

Year 4 Learning Challenge

Congratulation to Lily, Fizzah and Aniyah in Greece Class who has put in a considerable amount of effort into their Topic Learning Challenge; 'How important are the railways to Britain's development?' The children loved watching their presentations and are very excited to play Lily's game on Friday.

We look forward to receiving more homework projects throughout the term and presenting them in class.

Year 3's Love the Forest!

A new and enthusiastic group of Year 3 children attended their first Forest School session in the woods today.

They were keen to get going and explore the area although initially a little apprehensive. They soon forgot about any nervousness as they got busy digging with sticks, making and re-building dens and lots and lots of climbing.
Loads of mini beasts were discovered and a couple of children were identifying trees by their leaves. They had a busy time and lots of ideas from the children about they would like to stretch their learning as the weeks progress.
Watch the children share what they are most looking forward to about Forest School and what they discovered in their first session.

Help! Year 2 Need Junk

Year 2 will be focusing on learning all about castles this term. They will be designing and making their very own castle. We would be very grateful for any junk materials to be sent in by Wednesday 15th May so that the children can use these to create their own models.

Reception Reading Morning

We will be holding this month's reading morning on Friday 10th May from 8.30-8.50am. We are asking parents to come and join their child in their classes for at least 5 minutes reading a book to them or with them. We are continuing to promote a child's love of reading and we hope it will provide an opportunity for you to be able to share in this.

We very much look forward to welcoming you then.
