Weekly Newsletter - Important Information
Friday 6th September 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the new academic year! Being able to share our Ofsted outcome with you has already been a highlight of this school year and we are so thrilled that the report recognised just how wonderful all of our children are! They have continued to show just how polite, kind and caring they are over the last three days and have been ready to learn from the moment they stepped through the door on Wednesday.
School Day Times
We have been very impressed with how well the whole school has adapted to the new school day timings. The registers are now taken from 8:40am so please be punctual as the gates will start to close at 8:40am from Monday 16th September.

Classrooms open: 8:30 am
Official Start of School Day: 8:40 am (all children to arrive in school by this time)

Pedestrian Access
You will have noticed that over the Summer, we have completed some work aimed at enhancing the safety of our school environment for all pedestrians. We are committed to ensuring that everyone can access the school safely, without the need to walk through the car park. To support this initiative, I kindly ask that you follow the designated route all the way to the school office. Please avoid cutting through the car park or using the car entrance. This will help us maintain a safe space for our children and families, ensuring that everyone can navigate the area comfortably.
School Ping!
If you haven’t already accessed School Ping, please do so. This is our primary communication platform that we will use to share all whole school news and individual information about your children. If you need any support in setting this up, please speak to Mrs Parker in the school office. School Ping
Mobile phone Agreements
Please remember to return the mobile phone agreement if there is a particular reason for your child to have a phone in school. You will be asked to collect any phones that are brought into school without the signed agreement. Thank you for your continued support.
Contact information
Should you have any worries, concerns or questions please do not hesitate to contact school. Each Year group has a dedicated email which is monitored by the Year Group Leaders. Please use the email addresses below.
A Message from Mrs Corless- Attendance Officer
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share the importance of regular attendance and punctuality for your child’s success. At Mead, our primary objective is to ensure that your child enjoys, flourishes, and succeeds in their educational journey. This goal is only achievable when your child attends school regularly. I understand that sometimes, ensuring consistent attendance can require a little additional help. That is why I am here to support each and every one of you.
Please always feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns or issues that may be affecting your child's attendance. My role is one of support, not penalty. I am dedicated to working alongside you to help improve your child's attendance, and I will do everything I can to assist you. Together, we can make a positive difference!
