OH WE DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE

Did you know that octopuses have 3 hearts? And did you know that the largest starfish is called the Sunflower starfish and it has up to 24 legs? Well the children in year 1 do!  These were just two of the many facts the children learnt on their wonderful visit to the Sea Life Adventure Centre in Southend on Tuesday. The children had a fantastic time looking at the amazing marine life up close.  They saw sharks, clown fish, rays, jellyfish, piranhas and much more. The sea life centre has even recently acquired some new animals from Tropical Wings, such as meercats and giant tortoises, which the children loved meeting.

The sun came out just as the children made their way to the beach.  They played with their friends and collected lots of interesting shells and pebbles.

The children were tired but happy as they boarded the coach at the end of a lovely day.
"I wanted to stay there forever" commented Indianna on the way home.
